  • Various aspects of Indian culture like Indian mythology, women mystic poets, yoga, dance (with a special focus on Bharat Natyam) and spirituality
  • Feminist re-readings of Christian and Hindu scriptures
  • Feminist re-reading of myth in literature
  • A comparative study of Dalit and Black American writing etc
  • Indian women's writing, especially the work of Shashi Deshpande and Mahasweta Devi
  • Indian poetry in English
